Out Again

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Out Again collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Out Again mobile application and related services.

Effective date: April 29, 2026
Applies to the iOS app and related services

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Out Again, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information, such as your email address, display name, username, and profile photo.
  • Content you create, including posts, captions, drink selections, comments, reactions, reports, and friend or group activity you choose to create inside the app.
  • Photos and media that you choose to capture, upload, crop, or share through the app.
  • Location information if you grant location access, including approximate or precise location used to attach location context to posts and help suggest venues.
  • Contacts-derived matching signals if you grant contacts access. Out Again uses contact-derived matching data to help identify people you may know who already use the app.
  • Notification and device information, such as push notification tokens and app preference settings needed to deliver notifications and keep your account connected across sessions.
  • Usage and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as activity required to process posts, comments, reports, authentication, and social graph changes.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • let you publish posts, comments, reactions, and group activity;
  • help you connect with friends and suggested contacts;
  • show feed content, profile information, and social interactions;
  • deliver notifications, live activities, and in-app alerts;
  • detect abuse, handle reports, enforce safety features, and support blocking or moderation workflows;
  • maintain service security, debug issues, and improve the product.

3. How Information Is Shared

Out Again is a social product, so some information is shared with other users by design.

  • Your profile, posts, comments, reactions, and social interactions may be visible to other users depending on how the feature works and who you interact with.
  • Tagged friends, night groups, and other social features may reveal shared activity to the people involved in that feature.
  • We may share data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as backend hosting, authentication, storage, and notification delivery providers.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our rights and safety rules.

If you block another user, the app is designed to reduce their visibility in your experience and remove them from friend and interaction flows where appropriate.

4. Your Choices and Controls

  • You can update profile details inside the app.
  • You can control whether you grant access to photos, location, contacts, and notifications through iOS settings and in-app prompts.
  • You can block and unblock users through the app’s safety controls.
  • You can delete your account from within the app.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain safety and moderation workflows, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will process deletion according to our service and backend retention requirements.

6. Children’s Privacy

Out Again is not intended for children. Do not use the service if you are not legally permitted to do so under the applicable age rating and laws in your region.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Your continued use of Out Again after an update means the revised policy applies to your use of the service.
